The work of Steve McCurry hardly needs an introduction. His work seems especially relevant in today's climate, especially to me his pre-Soviet invasion images from Afghanistan.

William Eggleston: Democratic Camera-Photographs and Video, 1961-2008 @ LACMA
LACMA is to present the most comprehensive U.S. retrospective of Photographer William Eggleston, October 31, 2010 through January 16, 2011.
Eggleston is regarded as a master of color photography and for his portrayal of quintessentially American scenes.
Amongst many things, the exhibition will also focus on the use of his photographs on numerous album covers, and his inspiring influence on filmmakers of today.
